About this Project
Client's Business Challenge
Serving over 25,000 elementary and high school students from multiple states, Junior Achievement wanted to get 5th through 8th graders thinking about their future careers, so they could target high schools offering curricula that supported their career aspirations. Key to this effort was a holistic experience, ranging from innovative & engaging technology to compelling & inspirational print pieces.
Our Approach
We designed a modern, gamified experience that took students on an engaging journey to identify their inner passions, and mapped those passions to career choices and high schools with aligned curricula. At the end of this experience, these students received a high-quality keepsake from this experience — the Career Pathways Report — that provided both an inspirational guidepost for students to think about their futures, as well as a common reference point for students, parents, and guidance counselors to use in selecting high schools with curricula aligned to the student's career interests.
Value Delivered
The Career Pathways experience — end-to-end — was an absolute hit with students, parents, and guidance counselors alike, and paved the way for additional government and state funding to expand the program to a broader cohort of students. The Career Pathways Report also served as an invaluable tool for engaging students, parents, and guidance counselors in identifying high schools with curricula aligned to the student's career interests.
